Committees

The Immigration Solidarity Committee is working to fight against the mass deportations the current administration is committing against immigrants in our state and community. We work to provide legal resources, education, opportunties for activism, and outreach to aid immigrant families in navigating these unjust policies, connecting them with legal defense, community support, and opportunities to take collective action. We are working with other Student Orginizations, community organizations, and legal aides to fight back for the immigrant community. Hard-working families do not deserve to be torn apart and we are continuing to fight for them! 

Meetings: Every other Tuesday after our IlliniDems meetings!  

The Hunger Free Campus Campaign is dedicated to ending hunger in the Champaign-Urbana community and advocating for food resource access across Illinois. We partner with local organizations through outreach, education, and volunteering. Our work includes planning initiatives, fundraising for local food pantries, coordinating volunteer efforts, and lobbying legislators for food access for students. Since hunger is universal, we are committed to fighting for everyone in need.

Meetings: Every other Tuesday, following the Dems general meetings.
